Exercise helps relieve stress and helps get the blood pumping in your body so you have more energy and overall feel more optimistic. Another way is by keeping a stress journal, this is effective because writing down problems help with figuring out what is stressing the individual out and they could come up with a solution for their problem. Overall eating well and drinking a lot of water can be another way to manage stress because it overall makes your body feel better and your mood. Companies can also help with relieving stress in the workplace for employees. One method can be providing a quiet, relaxing room that employees can relax in and not think about their problems in. Another method companies do, is having health and wellness awareness in the workplace, so that employees are aware that they are not alone while dealing with stress.

Acute stress is the most common one which comes from demands from the recent past and pressures of the future. Acute stress can be exhilarating, but too much of it in once day can be exhausting. Acute is mostly short-term and can lead to headaches, upset stomach, muscular problems, and emotional distress.

Episodic acute stress is experiences by individuals who suffer acute stress often. They are often living a busy life style and worry too much about the littlest things. They can experience headaches, migraines, chest pain, and heart disease.

Chronic Stress |
Lastly, there is chronic stress which is constantly being stressed about severe problems like a dysfunctional family or poverty. The worst part of chronic stress is that people tend to forget it’s there and get used to it. This can lead to suicide, stroke, heart attack, and even cancer. The symptoms of chronic stress are more hard to treat and can require medical attention.
